- Ethan’s abrupt leave from his CS:GO team left some fans confused
- Ethan replaces Dicey in 100 Thieves’ VALORANT roster
- Dicey has responded officially to the change and argued that the replacement was well-motivated
To the bewilderment of his fans, top CS: GO player Ethan Arnold has forfeited his former position in favor of 100 Thieves’ VALORANT squad. He is to replace Dicey in his new team’s VALORANT roster.
Ethan Leaves Evil Geniuses’ CS:GO Roster
Ethan Arnold is known as a supreme player among the CS:GO fields. He has been in some of the most popular teams such as eUnited, NRG Esports, and most recently Evil Geniuses.
The latter team has scored several notable victories thanks to Ethan. However, their partnership suddenly ended when the player decided to step down from the CS:GO scene. This came as a big surprise to everyone as there were seemingly no preconditions for Ethan’s leave, other than VALORANT, that is.
Ethan Switches Over to 100 Thieves to Join the VALORANT Competitive Field
VALORANT has been steadily attracting first-person shooter devotees, including many professional gamers from CS:GO. Some have made the switch because of what new VALORANT has to offer the FPS genre, but in Ethan’s case, it’s likely because of the much fresher competitive scene.
The professional player will now join 100 Thieves’ VALORANT roster. His profound understanding of the FPS genre is expected to carry on in the new game. 100 Thieves have underperformed in the VALORANT scene until now. They lost VALORANT First Strike: NA and haven’t been doing great in the Champion Tour. Their fans hope Ethan will be a breath of fresh air needed to push the team forward.
Dicey Comments on Decision to Replace Him with Ethan
For one to join means, another one has to leave. Thus 100 Thieves player Quan Tran, more commonly known as Dicey, was removed from the VALORANT roster in order to free the spot for Ethan.
Dicey held a live stream where he expressed his opinion on the decision. He acknowledged the gap in skill between himself and Ethan and stated that he respects the decision. Dicey said he fears his lack of experience and need for guidance may have been a burden to his team. Since Ethan seems to be in no need of tutoring, he may prove to be a valuable asset to the team.
Despite being removed from the roster, not all is grim for Dicey. He is a skilled young player who still has a bright future ahead of him on the competitive scene. It is almost a guarantee fans will see his return in a different roster.
