DrLupo cuts a much better deal with YouTube Gaming and bids Twitch farewell for a more balanced streaming lifestyle.

First DrLupo YouTube Gaming Session Is Here

Benjamin Lupo, better known as DrLupo, has officially bidden Twitch a farewell and starting over at YouTube Gaming. He is one of the latest streamers to ditch the Amazon-owned giant and switch to the Google rival through a new exclusive contract with YouTube Gaming.

With his sizable audience of 1.7 million followers, DrLupo will have no issue shifting his weight to YouTube at all, and his stream is started yesterday, August 31, 2021. DrLupo has numerous reasons to seek the transition.

One has to do with the streamer looking to build up his brand as a pan-entertainment initiative that encompasses activities that go beyond traditional gaming. In a recent interview for The Washington Post, the streamer detailed his own reasons why he had decided to opt for YouTube Gaming over Twitch, describing it as a life-changing opportunity.

He mostly thanked YouTube Gaming for having the opportunity to still be on air and broadcast, while building his brand, but also taking off some of the pressure from constantly trying to be in people’s faces.

A Better Work-Life Balance for a Tired Streamer

“Family time is crazy important, reducing the amount of pressure because mental health is crazy important, Everybody’s just trying to secure the bag, right? There’s no shame in that. That’s literally why everybody gets up and goes to work, right,” DrLupo said in the interview. As it turns out, YouTube Gaming has offered him a contract that better captures this work-life balance everyone wants to achieve.

DrLupo also wants to get ahead of events and not focus on live content. Pre-recorded options seem to be far more popular with YouTube Gaming, which is something that the streamer will be excited about. DrLupo has been a vocal proponent of putting a stop to the hate raids on Twitch that have targeted prominent streamers and denigrated them through a variety of insults and fallacious claims.

DrLupo has made a brave move ditching Twitch and giving YouTube Gaming a shot. He is following in the footsteps of CouRage and Valkyrae, and even Ninja who have all bid Twitch a fond farewell.

Similarly, the streamer makes a great point about the importance of balancing one’s streaming career. A similar sentiment has been recently expressed by Pokimane who complained about burnout.

From our 5 star review…

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
