RAMZES666 and Illidan Engaged in a Heated Quarrel

in DOTA 2
October 29, 2021
  • Russian Dota 2 athletes Ilya “Illidan” Pivcaev and Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev have shown their dislike for each other
  • It all started with Illidan being unhappy of having the mid role taken away by RAMZES666 during a professional game
  • The players then transferred their conflict to social media

Ilya “Illidan” Pivcaev and Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev engaged in a heated argument over a Dota 2 in-game role.

Illidan Accused RAMZES666 of Being a Drug Addict

A heated drama took place between two Russian Dota 2 professionals. The disgruntled Ilya “Illidan” Pivcaev struck Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev with accusations of being a drug addict who fixes games. RAMZES666 wasn’t happy. Chaos ensued.

The root of this situation, according to the Russian esports news outlet CyberSport, is a ranked match where RAMZES666 picked Ember Spirit and went to the mid-lane, much to the dismay of Illidan. Thing is, Illidan was in the mid lane earlier and wasn’t thrilled about having the role taken away. RAMZES666, however, justified his action that he had a higher rank and that Illidan needs to beat him first if he wants to take the role.

The situation began escalating and RAMZES666 accused Illidan of being a toxic player by calling him “cancer.” Illidan, in turn, struck back and called the other player a “cocaine addict.”

— Pivtsaev Ilya (@IllidanSTRdoto) October 27, 2021

He added that RAMZES666 will likely pass away before his thirties because of his alleged cocaine addiction. Illidan continued bashing RAMZES666 and even accused him of match-fixing.

RAMZES666 Struck Back

RAMZES666 wasn’t impressed. In a mockingly polite manner, the latter player addressed his angry adversary and asked him to arm himself with evidence before spewing such nonsense. RAMZES666 added that he didn’t think anyone would believe such claims and is surprised that “the worms from CyberSport” have quickly caught wind of the spicy accusations.

Дорогой Илюша! Перед тем, как высерать что-то гнилое про других людей, помни о том, что для этого нужны пруфы, а не какие-то левые слухи. Не думал, что это будет кого-то волновать, но червячки с сайберспорта и это откопали

— Roman Kushnarev (@ramzes) October 27, 2021

According to RAMZES666, it’s highly probable that Illidan is so spiteful because the former player has previously ridiculed the skills of one of the latter player’s friends.

This might be indeed so as Illidan explained that there is no way in hell he would ever treat RAMZES666 well. Illidan explained that his nemesis is someone who takes advantage of others and treats them like garbage when he doesn’t need them.

Drama isn’t anything new to esports but it sometimes can become rather distasteful. Although the situation between Illidan and RAMZES666 is indeed quite interesting to follow, professionally speaking, it definitely isn’t nice to have such quarrels among elite athletes. Esports’ popularity has affirmed it as a world-class phenomenon and it’s best for players to maintain some degree of class as they represent not only themselves but the entire world of esports.

Hopefully, even if Illidan and RAMZES666 never make amends, they will at least contain their disdain for each other during live events and restrict their battles to in-game matches only.
