- Valve has put out DPC Supporter Clubs
- The system now gives fans the option to purchase team-themed in-game merchandize
- 50% of the price will be going directly to the team
Valve has established an official way in which esports enthusiasts can support their favorite DPC teams.
The Supporters Clubs: A Way for Fans to Show Their Love
Valve has released the Supporters Clubs as it had promised in the beginning of this year’s Dota Pro Circuit. The system will be a way for Dota 2 fans to directly support their favorite teams.
The Supporters Clubs will give people the opportunity to buy team-teamed content. And most importantly, 50% of the sales’ revenues will be going directly to support the respective team.
The content in the team bundles will include voice lines, loading screens, sprays, emojis, badges and so on. There will be three bundles for each DPC team participating in the initiative. The bundles are separated into three categories: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Silver and Gold will be increasingly pricey but will give players more content.
Currently there are 17 teams who have launched a Supporters Club. More will be coming in the future as other teams submit their content’s designs. Teams that fail to provide high-quality content may only end up with a Bronze tier.
Passionate fans can check the DPC profile of their favorite team to see if it has starter a Supporters Club.
Valve seems to be working hard at providing fans with all kinds of quality-of-life upgrades and making it easier for fans and players to connect. The company recently introduced an official way for esports lovers to track their preferred Dota 2 teams’ achievements. In the same way, the Supporters Clubs are a great addition as they will establish a clear way for enthusiasts to show some love to their personal Dota 2 favorites.
