Miposhka Doesn’t Consider Team Spirit as the Best Dota 2 Team Yet

in DOTA 2
February 22, 2022
  • Team Spirit’s captain, Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov, thinks Team Spirit isn’t the best Dota 2 team yet
  • He explained that he would like to win more events, especially ones with a live audience, before accepting this title
  • Miposhka is excited about competing and thinks Team Spirit can maintain its momentums if it picks the right heroes

Team Spirit’s captain Miposhka hopes his squad will win a live event to cement itself as the best team in the world.

Miposhka Says Team Spirit Still Has a Way to Go

Team Spirit has been making headlines since its victory at The International 10 Dota 2 tournament. The Russian esports organization just smashed its way through the DPC Eastern European Regional 2022, defeating HellRaisers and Virtus.pro without losing a single map.

Despite the team’s feats, however, its captain, Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov, still doesn’t feel that Team Spirit is the best in the world. In an interview following the conclusion of the Eastern European Regional 2022, Miposhka explained why he feels so.

First, he noted that Team Spirit has currently been victorious at but a single event. While this event was the biggest Dota 2 tournament in the world, a single victory isn’t enough to justify Team Spirit’s members to consider themselves to be the best. He explained:

“I don’t really know but I don’t think that any of my teammates think that they already won everything. We only won one tournament as a team. It just happened that it was The International but I can’t say that we are the best team in the world right now.”

Team Spirit Has to Keep Its Momentum

Even though Miposhka is technically right, Team Spirit has a lot of potential to truly become the best team in the World. This is further attested by the squad’s recent performance that proved Team Spirit’s victory at TI10 wasn’t just a lucky exception.

Although the captain is humble about his team’s spectacular victory, he is excited by what the future will bring. He said he thinks Team Spirit will maintain its momentum so long as it drafts the right heroes. Indeed, Teams Spirit has barely lost a match since its victory at TI10.

Speaking about what will make Team Spirit’s players feel fulfilled, Miposhka said that he hopes that his squad will manage to achieve a victory at a live event before a real audience. Should that happen, he might accept the title of “the best team in the world.”

It is exciting to follow Team Spirit and watch how they will fare in the tournaments to come. Dota 2 has a huge patch scheduled for tomorrow that will force all professionals to readapt to the game. Miposhka admitted that he really wants to see Skywrath Mage and Ancient Apparition receive changes as he hopes to one day play them professionally.
