Here Is What You Should Know About the ESL One Fall 2021 Before it Begins

  • The ESL One Fall 2021 is one of the most anticipated Dota 2 tournaments
  • The event begins tomorrow and will have 12 teams meet and play over a prize pool of $400,000
  • All of the event will be streamed on ESL's official Twitch channel

As the ESL One Fall 2021 is starting tomorrow, here is a comprehensive list of all the important details.

Twelve of The Best Dota 2 Teams Will Clash

The ESL One Fall 2021 event is starting tomorrow, August 21. The big European Dota 2 tournament will feature 12 of the best professional esports teams who will compete for a prize pool of $400,000. 

The teams will be separated into two groups, with the group stage running more than one match at the same time. Here is the lineup of participants:

Directly Invited Teams:

  • Alliance
  • Beastcoast
  • PSG.LGD
  • SG Esports
  • T1
  • Team Liquid
  • Team Spirit
  • Thunder Predator
  • Tundra Esports
  • Virtus.pro

Qualified teams:

  • Creepwave
  • Team Empire 

The group stage of the ESL One Fall will run between August 21 and 24. As mentioned, the teams will be separated in two groups of six and will play in a round-robin, best-of-two format. Each group's top 2 teams will advance to the upper bracket, the third and fourth place to the lower bracket and the last 2 will be eliminated from the tournament. 

The event will continue with playoffs between August 26 and August 29. They will be in a double-elimination best-of-three format.

Lastly, the heated grand finals will be best-of-five. 

As mentioned, the ESL One Fall 2021 will have a total prize pool of $400,000. The champion of the tournament will be getting a big share of $175,000 – almost a half! The second place will receive $85,000 and the third will get $45,000. 

The rest will be distributed between the remaining teams:

  • 4th place: $25,000
  • 5th-6th places: $15,000 each
  • 7th-8th places: $10,000 each
  • 9th-12th places: $5,000 each 

The Exciting Action Will be Streamed Globally

The ESL One Fall 2021 has prepared a strong lineup of talents that will comment, analyze and host the official ESL streams of the event. The action will be available on ESL's own Twitch channel for English-speaking esports fans worldwide.

  • Shannon “SUNSfan” Scotten
