HellRaisers to Go Dormant Because of the Horrors in Ukraine

in DOTA 2
March 7, 2022
  • The Ukrainian esports organization HellRaisers will cease its operation because of the Russian invasion
  • The organization vowed to keep paying its staff for as long as can even during that dormant state
  • The HellRaisers Dota 2 team wishes to keep on competing albeit under a new tag

The Ukrainian organization HellRaisers will cease its operations until the conflict with Russia is resolved. It vowed to keep its staff despite the troubled times.

HellRaisers Will Go Dormant

The Ukrainian esports organization HellRaisers will cease its operations for a while because of the horrific events taking place in Ukraine. The organization updated its fans on what is happening over Twitter.

HellRaisers told their fans that sadly, the esports organization cannot continue functioning as usual in war-torn Ukraine. It promised that it will reassume its usual operations only once the war has ended, although nobody knows when that might be.

HellRaisers announced that it will retain its players and members and will go dormant for a while. The organization vowed to keep paying its workers despite ceasing its operations.

In that time, the HellRaisers Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster will go inactive. The organization added that the Dota 2 team has opted to continue playing but will do so under a new tag.

The Dota 2 Team Will Continue Playing

As HellRaisers said, the Dota 2 team, which is one of the top teams in Europe, will continue playing. Its sports director, Marie Gunina, shared a TwitLonger post about the situation. She remarked that three of the Dota 2 team’s players as well as the team coach, Aleksandr “Nofear” Churochkin, are Russians who live in Ukraine and are subject to the same aggression by the invading army.

“We’d like to keep our team as it is, but you don’t have to keep the management. Just let my boys compete together, please,” Gunina pleaded.

She provided a work email where people can who have any business offers can contact her.

Meanwhile, HellRaisers’ management warned people about the misinformation war going on and Vladimir Putin’s efforts in convincing the world of the alleged “just cause” of his bloody invasion. The organization noted that the Russian government tries to indoctrinate people into believing that the horrors happening at this very moment are a lie and that Russia is conducting a simple “rescue operation.”

Because of that, HellRaisers asked fans to check all of their sources and carefully verify the information they read.
