Febby Becomes Team Undying’s New Coach

in DOTA 2
September 9, 2021
  • Team Undying has chosen Kim “Febby” Yong-min as the organization’s new Dota 2 coach
  • Febby will have to prepare the team for the challenges at The International 10
  • His experience as a player and a coach is expected to propel Undying forward

Esports team Team Undying has signed Febby as a coach ahead of The International 10 Dota 2 tournament.

The Team Gets a New Coach

As the biggest esports tournament in Dota 2 history, The International 10, approaches, esports team Team Undying has decided to up its chances by hiring a new coach. The independent squad announced it has decided to get TNC Predator’s former player and coach Kim “Febby” Yong-Min.

On the official announcement, Team Undying announced that they will be practicing hard before The International 10.

Febby’s entrance to the European professional Dota 2 scene as a coach was theorized by people who noticed the South Korean player was increasingly active in European pubs. Although he doesn’t have long years of experience as a coach, Febby is known as a good and experienced player. He used to play with his current Undying teammate Kim “DuBu” Doo-young in the ranks of MVP Phoenix back in 2016. Then, after his short-lived stint as TNC Predator’s coach in 2020, he switched to a support player and helped his former organization on the frontlines.

Undying Will Be Playing as an Independent Team

One of Team Undying’s unique points is that it is among the few independent teams in professional esports. Undying has previously thought about finally settling down and inking a deal with an organization and almost did so but in the end, the squad preferred to keep the joys of independence for now.

Team Undying’s members are currently working hard to prepare for The International 10. They qualified for the event through the North American Qualifier back in July. Because of the financial hurdles of running an independent team, Team Undying had recently launched a fundraiser to get monetary support for their current boot camp.

Fans can expect to see Team Undying at the big event. Here is the independent team’s current lineup:

  • Kim “Febby” Yong-Min (coach)
  • David “MoonMeander” Tan Boon Yang
  • Enzo “Timado” Gianoli O'Connor
  • Jonathan Bryle “Bryle” Santos De Guia
  • Jonáš “SabeRLight-” Volek
  • Kim “DuBu” Doo-young

The International 10 begins this October 7 and will take place in Bucharest.
