  • Team Tickles is priced as the heavy underdog for the upcoming series against Team Tundra
  • Yet, there is little data to bet such a drastic selection, which opens an opportunity for great value betting
  • We predict Team Tickles overcoming odds of (2.45) and defeating Team Tundra for a nice payout

Team Tundra and Team Tickles both earned their spots in the DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 1: Regional Finals and not just by virtue of their quirky names. No, Tickles and Tundra survived the great churn of Division I and landed second and third place respectively.

Now, they will try and advance further in the Dota 2 professional circuit this season and see if they can make it all the way to The International. The fact that they have made it thus far is definitely reassuring. The odds, though, are a little odd.

Tickles are given (2.45) even though they placed second in Division I. Tundra are given 1.48. That is a pretty substantial difference when you come to think about it. Yet, we dig into the why’s of this prediction mechanism and see if it actually has merit.

Odds to Win Team Tickles vs Tundra

  • Team Tickles: 2.45
  • Tundra: 1.48

Team Tickles Betting Preview (February 11, 2022)

Team Tickles is listed as the heavy underdogs here at (2.45) but this is a prediction criterion we can definitely not agree with. Tickles do have their weaknesses, but they are definitely at such a heavy disadvantage against Tundra. Tickles actually won their games against Tundra in Division I with a clear and smooth run at 2-0.

They have been able to secure an overall 5-2 series and raid an impressive 11-win, 5-loss games so far. What does this mean for Tickles? As far as overall performance goes, they are very close to Team Liquid. Of course, Liquid and even Secret defeated them in Division I but Tickles secured a victory against OG (the 4th seeded team in the Regional Finals).

Tickles has a strong hand coming into the Regional Finals, considering all of this. They are comfortable in both offense and defense and they can come up with great comebacks if the need is. The overall stats and their consistently good score make us doubt Bitcasino’s prediction model but also inclines us to bet strongly against it.

Tundra Betting Preview (February 11, 2022)

Tundra is definitely not a bad team. They are third in the overall seeding in the Regional Finals, but they struggled more in Division I. Let’s start with the fact that Tundra has finished the series with 4-3. This includes nine wins and six losses. Essentially, Tundra has lost more games than Tickles, they have secured fewer series, and they are still given odds of (1.48).

That is odd and we definitely think that the smart thing to do would be to bet against them here. Alright, but can Tundra throw some upset? They might, but we don’t think there is enough publicly available data to justify backing them up. That is why we recommend:

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
