EG Preview (Jan 20, 2022)
Evil Geniuses has had a bit of trouble finding a strong foothold in the DPC so far. You may argue that playing against the very best is not an easy undertaking, and it shows. EG lost against WG without putting up much of a fight, but they bounced back in their game against sT, sweeping their opponents with 2:0. The game in Week 6 against Quincy Crew will be particularly important to them.
EG have played a total of 13 games and have won nine which is not a bad score. They set themselves apart from the rest of the pack by defeating Team Undead, who are #3 and right on the tail of EG. However, Evil Geniuses have been able to consistently post great plays. They did falter against WG but have been playing an almost impeccable play throughout this DPC season.
However, EG are about to take on their biggest challenge in the league so far. But so does Quincy Crews who are about to meet arguably their toughest opponents to date.
Quincy Crew Preview (Jan 20, 2022)
To our minds, giving Quincy Crew odds of (2.32) isn’t really justified, although it sort of makes sense. Quincy have lost as many games as EG, a total of four losses, even though they have won more – 12. This means that most of Quincy Crew’s games were actually a bit of a tug-of-war where their opponents would secure a single game in the series and then seek to take the overall competition back.
Quincy have won against Team Undying, something that EG did as well, but they also won against WG to whom EG lost. Quincy have been showing great play and have established themselves as one of the strongest underdogs not just in the DPC, but The International in 2021. As you can expect, we feel very strongly about Quincy Crew bringing this game home and we will be backing them up.
