Let’s be honest. Invictus Gaming have not had it easy here, but the truth is they are facing a plethora of contenders who are determined to make it into this year’s The International and we can understand their motivation. IG has run with 1-4 at the time of writing and they have only won four out of the 12 games they participated in so far.
The team is in pretty bad shape, but this will be all to our advantage as people who are interested in placing a successful bet on Dota 2. At odds of 2.32, Invictus Gaming are a great pick, but this is not whom we want to back for this selection.
Of course, we ought to consider whether IG is capable of upsetting Aster, but nothing in their play so far suggests as much. They most recently lost to LBZS who, while not the best team out there, still managed to seal two victories and finish the series.
Aster Preview (Jan 18, 2022)
Aster have a fantastic overall track record so far. They have lost only two games in the Division so far and both were against PSG.LGD, who are the undisputed champions so far. So, what should we make of that? Well, Aster are a powerhouse currently and we don’t see IG putting a fight any time soon.
Given that Aster are at 1.53 to win, we think those are some excellent odds. Not only that, but you can also bet that IG will most likely not be able to sneak away from a victory, depending on how they play. Aster have been challenged with numerous strategies so far, though, including a few “cheese” stratagems that flopped. In all instances, they did pretty nice. So, our selection will reflect this:
