DPC 2021-2022 Winter Tour Qualifiers Schedule Confirmed

in DOTA 2
November 22, 2021
  • November 29 marks the start of the DPC 2021-2022 season
  • Overall, there will be qualifiers within six regions, however, dates for the China region are yet to be released
  • While some qualifiers are already completed, others are starting this week

The Dota Pro Circuit 2021-2022 will be starting on November 29. Last week, Valve announced the DPC qualifiers schedule for the global regions.

Dota Pro Circuit 2021-2022 Starts on November 29

Details regarding one of the most-anticipated Dota competitions, the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) were revealed late last week by Valve. Although this year is coming to an end after a month, the DPC season is starting soon. According to the official winter tour schedule released by Valve, the Dota Pro Circuit 2021-2022 season is set to start on November 29. As usual, teams from each of the six global regions will compete for their spot within the DPC Winter Tour. In fact, some DPC qualifiers have already started.

With that in mind, official dates for the China region are yet to be released. This is because there are players yet to go home from Romania after participating in The International 10. Due to COVID-related restrictions, those players have not returned to their home country.

Southeast Asia (SEA) region open qualifiers #1 were set for November 20-21, while open qualifiers #2 are set for November 23-24. The open qualifiers tournaments are organized as single-eliminations. In other words, the team that takes first place in each tournament will earn a spot within the DPC SEA Division II.

Qualifiers #1 for the Western Europe (WEU) region were set for November 19. On the other hand, qualifiers #2 took place on November 20, while a final closed qualifier is set for November 22. DPC organizers explained that the first three teams will compete within the closed qualifier. Then, the top two teams will earn a spot within Division II for WEU.

On the other hand, qualifiers #1 for Eastern Europe (EEU) are set for November 26, while qualifiers #2 will take place November 27-28. Considering the departure of EXTREMUM from Division II, three slots are up for grabs within EEU.

North American (NA) teams have also been through qualifiers #1 and #2 on November 19 and November 20. Similar to the WEU region, the top 4 finishers from the qualifier tournament will enter the closed qualifier set for November 22. After that, first and second place teams from the closed qualifier will join Division II for the DPC NA Winter Tour.

Looking at the South America (SA) region, two qualifiers culminate with closed qualifiers as well. Open qualifiers #1 are set for November 21-22, while open qualifiers #2 are set for November 23-24. Then, the first and second place teams within the closed qualifiers which are set November 25-26 will claim one of the two Division II spots.
