- Beyond the Summit announced the BTS Pro Series Season 5 in the Americas
- The Dota 2 tournament is set to take place from March2 through 21
- Almost every American team from the regional leagues is expected to participate
While anticipation is building up for the Major, Beyond the Summit will be hosting a new season for the BTS Pro Series.
Beyond the Summit Announces another Dota 2 Tournament
In a year where numerous Dota 2 tournaments outside the Pro Circuit are expected to take place, Beyond the Summit hopped in by announcing the BTS Pro Series Season 5. The event will see 16 teams strife for a prize pool of $40,000.
Out of the 16 teams, 15 have already been decided. The last one isn’t confirmed yet but will be revealed soon. Some expected it to be the third-place finisher from the North America Upper Division tournament. However this likely isn’t the case as Undying, the team that ended in third place, has announced they won’t be participating in the BTS Pro Series.
Teams from America Regionals to Compete for Hefty Prizes
As stated above, during the event we will see most of the teams from the North and South American regional leagues. Here are the 15 confirmed participants:
- Black and Yellow
- The Cut
- Arkosh Gaming
- SG E-sports
- 4 Zoomers
- Team Unkonwn
- Team Dogchamp
- Simply Toobased
Other contestants in the upcoming BTS showdown include Sadboys, Infamous, 5ManMidas, EgoBoys, Noping E-sports, Infinity E-sports and Latam Defenders.
The teams Evil Geniuses and Quincy Crew also won’t be taking part as, similarly to Undying, they will be busy with securing a spot in the Singapore Major. Beastcoast and Thunder Predator have already been admitted to the Major and won’t be present at the BTS Pro Series as well.
