  • Anathan “ana” Pham will be returning to OG’s competitive Dota 2 lineup
  • This follows MidOne’s release from duty in March
  • The team hopes ana will help the team be admitted to The International 10

Speculating fans were right, and ana returned to OG’s Dota 2 roster to fill in the gap left when MidOne was laid off.

Ana’s Fourth Coming

Anathan “ana” Pham will be officially leaving OG’s inactive Dota 2 roster and joining the team’s active lineup.

This was announced yesterday in a Tweet by the organization. It confirmed the pre-established fan speculation that ana will be returning to replace Yeik “MidOne” Nai ZhengMidOne was released in March since his playstyle didn’t fit well enough with the rest of the team.

Ana has a long history with OG. The player has been moving in and out of OG’s active roster for a while. He left the organization in 2017 but then came back in 2018 for The International 8 qualifiers. Since then, ana went inactive twice – once after the aforementioned TI8 and once after TI9. After the latter, ana was not present on the professional Dota 2 scene for a while, with one exception where he replaced a TNC Predator member at the WeSave! Charity play.

Plans and Hopes for The International 10

Ana’s past feats may put OG back on the scene and get them invited to The International 10. At least that seems to be the team’s plan. OG were penalized for laying off MidOne and got a fairly bad DPC gain in the Regional League. Moreover, they are currently at the 27th spot in terms of ranking.

Having won two Internationals before, OG players are probably not happy with their current positions and will surely try to rise again.

The team members can hope to get one of the four remaining TI10 spots from the DPC Majors. Ana’s skills and past accomplishments will surely be an aid in the team’s endeavors. If everything goes as OG are planning, we may even see them keeping their title and getting crowned as champions at The International 10.
