  • SYnck signs the entire ESTOWNIA roster
  • SYnck is adamant it will respect the Estonian brand’s heritage
  • The team has already set itself big goals

The aptly named Estonian CS:GO team ESTOWNIA has recently been signed by sYnck who are re-entering the sport after last playing CS: Source and 1.6 way back in 2009.

SYnck Is Back in Professional CS:GO

SYnck has once again seen the value of Counter-Strike esports and has decided to re-enter the competition. But the organization has not fielded a roster in more than 13 years, last playing in venerable titles like Source and 1.6. This is why sYnck sought the help of the all-Estonian roster led by Kristjan “?fejtZ?” Allsaar.

The team had previously played for SC from March to November last year. However, in autumn the roster became free agents, renaming themselves to ESTOWNIA, and competed in the European Development Championship 6 and the CCT Central Europe Series 4. The team performed well in the latter of the two competitions, obtaining big wins against MASONIC and AVANGAR. Unfortunately, ESTOWNIA was not able to unable to continue its winning streak into playoffs.

SYnck used to be almost synonymous with Estonian CS:GO, therefore the organizatioofs re-entry into the game is a huge deal for the country. Because if this, the brand is dedicated to honoring its legacy. “We are proud to announce that we have secured full Estonian funding for the project,” sYnck said. “This is a historic moment for the Estonian gaming community as it marks the first full Estonian lineup in over a decade to have a contract for a year with a salary.”

The organization has already set important goals for the near future, chief among them is to qualify for an RMR tournament. Hannes “?lenz?” Stalde, the team’s manager and coach, said that the team’s positive mindset is crucial if the players want to achieve the high goals they have set themselves.

“Our team is highly motivated and goal-oriented, and we have set some ambitious targets for ourselves,” the coach said. “But we believe that with our combined skills, knowledge, and experience, we will be able to achieve these goals.”

The new all-Estonian team will debut on January 20 when it has match against EC Brugge in the upper bracket quarter-finals of European Pro League Season 5. The team currently looks like this:

  • Kristjan “?fejtZ?” Allsaar
  • Alvar “?consss?” Rämman
  • Rene “?Wahtzz?” Vahu
  • Egerti “?eku?” Kiisk
  • Andreas “?aNdu?” Maasing

“In fact, we would argue that Bitcasino’s esports product is one of the best we have experienced. It’s simple, clear-cut, and offers a variety of products and options that other platforms are failing to deliver on.”
