Shox Joins Team Liquid’s CS:GO Roster

in Counter Strike
December 31, 2021
  • The French player has officially entered Team Liquid’s lineup for next season
  • Shox is one of the most south after veterans in the professional CS:GO scene
  • He will be joining other high-ranking pros like oSee and NAF

After weeks of rumors and speculations, Team Liquid has finally built its new CS:GO roster. Amongst the recruits is French player Richard “shox” Papillon.

Shox and Liquid Sign a Contract

Team Liquid has had a bumpy CS:GO season, to say the least. As a result of their unsatisfactory performance this year, the organization south to reform its roster, hoping to have a better 2022. There were many speculations as to who Liquid will sign, and one candidate was French player Richard “shox” Papillon. On December 29 it was announced on Twitter he had finally officially joined Team Liquid’s starter roster.

Team Liquid must have learned their lesson from the many ups and downs they've had during the year, as now they are trying to look for more experienced players. Shox is a veritable CS:GO veteran, who started playing professionally in 2007. He is highly respected by the community, being praised and well known for his longevity and high skill.

During his almost 15 years long career, shox has played in many teams, which include G2 Esports, Epsilon, VeryGames, and most recently, Team Vitality. To this day, he remains one of the most south after players.

Liquid’s New Roster

As good of a player shox is, Team Liquid needs others like him to make a comeback in the 2022 season. The team had a rough year being unable to make the final of any S-Tier event throughout the year.

The signing of the French player comes just days after the confirmation that oSee will play for Team Liquid starting in January. Joshua “oSee” Ohm is one of the best AWPers in the field, and after many weeks of rumors that the organization is looking to hire him, the 22-year-old joined Liquid a few days ago and will be playing in the organization’s starter roster.

Shox and oSee will be joined by veteran CS:GO pro Keith “NAF” Markovic. The Canadian star recently renewed his contract with Team Liquid and will be playing with the organization until 2024. NAF’s very respectable 1.15 rating at the BLAST Premier Fall Final earned him a place in the team’s lineup.

There have been rumors that Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella might be leaving Valorant in favor of returning to CS:GO, but so far nothing has been confirmed.

As it stands not, shox will be joining Joshua “oSee” Ohm, Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, and Keith “NAF” Markovic in Liquid’s CS:GO starting roster for next year.
