  • Fans speculate who will participate in shox’ team
  • The player still hasn’t announced whom will the team be comprised of
  • He will finally be able to play in the style he wants to

One of the most popular French professional CS:GO players, Richard “shox” Papillon, announced he will be creating a brand new team for the upcoming CS:GO BLAST Paris Major.

Shox Reveals His Project

Competitive CS:GO has been quite popular in France for years, and 2023 is going to be an important one for the country’s professional community, as BLAST will have one of its Majors in the country’s capital. It was French president Macron himself who announced the BLAST Paris Major 2023 a few months ago, and as the event is coming closer, organizations and teams are busy preparing.

The excitement sweeping the professional French CS:GO community has not gone past one of its most decorated players – Richard “shox” Papillon. In fact, the legendary player announced recently that he plans to establish a new French CS:GO team with the focus of making it to the biggest stage in CS:GO at the Paris Major.

Ever since Macron announced that BLAST will be hosting one of its biggest events in the country’s capital, many fans have speculated that this will prompt the reunion of some of the top players from France throughout Counter-Strike history. And who else would be more appropriate to lead such a team than shox. “I decided to create my own project…with the main objective to go and get this qualification in Paris,” the 30-year-old pro player said in a recent short video on Twitter.

Who Are the Possible Members?

Shox didn’t reveal who is on the team or any other information, instead, saying he will talk more about his project in his upcoming streams. Considering the player is one of the most decorated French players, having many top 20 placings in HLTV leaderboards, a Major under his belt, and working with several high-profile teams, it’s likely he is looking for players of the same caliber. Some popular names that come to mind as potential participants in shox’ team are Kenny “KennyS” Schrub and Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, with both of whom the 30-year-old CS:GO veteran has played.

The last major team shox played for was Team Liquid, with whom he signed in late 2021. But despite his prominence, he failed to make an impact on the team, leading him to leave the team in favor of the international Apeks squad. But even then, shox was not able to stay with the team for more than three months, eventually being allowed to explore other options due to a “difference in vision.”

With the Paris Major coming fast and shox announcing his new project, perhaps he will finally be able to play in the style he wants.
