The Organizations, Rumored to Host the Events and What to Expect
According to some yet unconfirmed hearsays Flashpoint and Beyond the Summit will be responsible for hosting the Regional Major Ranking events in CS:GO that will determine the teams that will advance to the Major in Stockholm. This was announced on Twitter by RyanAtRBM, founder of RushBMedia – a CS:GO community fan platform.
Ryan is known to deal with leaks, so although unconfirmed, and we can account for the possibility. Moreover, the two gaming organizations seem like a likely choice for hosting the Rankings.
Flashpoint is the newer of the two. It is a team-owned league created the previous year and is operated by FACEIT. The Flashpoint team has already made a name for itself by hosting two competitive seasons and by having an impressive talent lineup. However, it came under attacks because of some controversies surrounding the pandemic.
According to the rumor, Flashpoint will be responsible for the Regional Major Ranking in Europe.
Beyond the Summit, on the other hand, is one of the giants when it comes to tournament organizations. It has been the host of countless events in many of the major esports, such as CS:GO, Dota 2, Rocket League, etc. The CS:GO series is popular with fans because of its fun format.
If the rumors are correct, BOS will host the Regional Major Ranking in North America.
The Regional Major Rankings are Valve’s new system of choosing teams for the CS:GO Majors. Before that, some teams were chosen depending on placement in the previous Major and others by regional qualifiers.
After the gap year left by the pandemic, the upcoming Major will be an exciting event for any Counter-Strike enthusiast. If Flashpoint and Beyond the Summit are truly going to be the organizers of the Rankings, we can hope both will do their best to ramp up the hype.
