As fans worldwide have hoped, organizers are working on getting LAN events back into practice. Relog Media is one of the first to officially announce an upcoming live event.

The LAN Sweet LAN Masters – A Culmination of 12 Months of Events

LAN Sweet LAN is an upcoming Masters tournament in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It will be hosted by Serbian tournament organizer Relog Media and is set to take place in February 2020

Originally called “Home Sweet Home” and then renamed to the current title, according to HLTM, the event will serve as a climactic finale of Relog Media’s chain of events and the company’s biggest tournament yet. If the hype for the return of LAN wasn’t big enough, the LAN Sweet LAN event would have an appropriately large prize pool for such an event, measuring $250,000. That is sure to further spark professional teams’ interest.

The tournament will have sixteen teams embark on a battle against one another in Hotel Jugoslavia, Relog Media’s headquarters in Belgrade, Serbia. Four of those teams will be invited, and the other will qualify through Relog Media’s other events.

The invited teams haven’t been announced, but three teams have already qualified during the Snow Sweet Snow winter event series. The latter include HAVU GamingMouseports, and FunPlus Phoenix

The champions of Relog Media’s upcoming monthly events will fill up the remaining spots. Those events include the three Spring Sweet Spring tournaments, the three Sun Sweet Sun ones, and lastly, the three Fall Sweet Fall events. Each separate of the Relog Media’s events will have a prize pool of $100,000.

The first event from the Spring Sweet Spring series is currently taking place, so it won’t be long before we know which will be the fourth qualified team. In any case, LAN Sweet LAN is definitely an event to look forward to. Fans of various esports have been continuously hoping for the pandemic to tone down so LAN events can come back.

Recently the Call of Duty fanbase started suggesting LAN events are coming back. It is possible that with the announcement of Relog Media’s LAN Sweet LAN Tournament, more organizers will start looking to host LAN CS: GO events as well.
