Rally.io and Flashpoint to Start Selling CS:GO NFTs

in Counter Strike
May 28, 2021
  • Flashpoint and Rally.io have teamed up for NFT and physical CS:GO collectibles
  • The proceeds will go for supporting the Counter-Strike competitive ecosystem
  • Rally.io will produce unique, high-quality physical cards that will come with unique serial code

More and more esports organizations are scoping out the potential of NFTs with Flashpoint now ready to issue unique digital and physical collectibles for CS:GO in collaboration with Rally.io.

Flashpoint Joins World of Digital Collectibles with NFTs

Non-fungible tokens or NFTs are finally making their mark on esports, a market opportunity with untapped potential and yet another monetization channel for the promising industry of competitive video gaming. To this end, Flashpoint, a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) league and events host, has teamed up with Rally.io, an issuer of digital currencies.

The alliance will allow Flashpoint to create collectible NFTs and physical holo cards of the players who compete in the league throughout each season. For anyone who wishes to buy early, Flashpoint and Rally will be offering a presale exclusively in the league’s dedicated $FLASH coin.

Once NFTs go on retail sale, they can be bought for $100 each. For those who are concerned that spending $100 on a digital collectible is not really worthwhile, the league and Rally will be issuing a physical foil print copy.

There will be 997 purchasable units per collection, and the physical copies will also come with tamper-proof seals as well as high-quality production and a unique serial number that will set them aside from other cards.

All proceeds will be divvied up between the league, which will use the funding to host future events, and the rest will go to support league teams, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the competitive Counter-Strike ecosystem. There have been significant efforts to boost the CS:GO community, too.

Valve has decided to take a more dedicated approach to host majors, vowing serious prize money for events throughout 2022 and 2023, according to a report released by HLTV.

To purchase any of the collectibles, you will need to register an account with Rally.io. You can participate in the presale through May 30, when Flashpoint 3 comes to an end. Production will start once the presale has wrapped up.
