- OG is looking to replace Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt following the team's lackluster showing so far
- HEROCI's Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen is the new likely prospect as per an HTLV report
- Any changes should come ahead of the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 13
OG is looking for a new permanent member of their roster, potentially tapping Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen for the role as per HLTV reports.
Niko Possibly Leaving HEROIC for OG
Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen may leave HEROIC and join OG's CS:GO roster, a new report by HLTV has suggested. With OG looking to send ripples throughout the competitive scene in the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 13 scheduled for March 8, niko's addition will be worthwhile.
OG is interested in the Danish player, HLTV explained, with the team looking for a replacement for Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt, who was dropped recently. NBK- and OG split on amicable terms.
The Frenchman's decision was voluntary as well, as NBK- wasn't quite eye-to-eye with some team members as to how the team should play. In professional CS:GO, a difference of opinion is often the case, and it makes the most sense for players to move on when everything else has failed.
OG Must Seize Present Window of Opportunity
To get everything organized on time though, OG would have to step up and address the issue head-on as the event is kicking off next Monday.
Niko proved a valuable asset to HEROIC, but the team just couldn't find a form that allowed it to replicate its success from before. The team decided to pull niko out of active roster duty following a sub-par ESL One: Cologne 2020 performance.
The team's most recent showing, though, has prompted swift changes in the rosters, bringing Ismail “refrezh” Ali and Rasmus “sjuush” Beck in the stead of niko and another rifler, Johannes “b0RUP” Borup.
If niko is finally drafted to join OG, he would be joining familiar faces, with coach Casper “ruggah” Due and Valdemar “valde” Vangså both familiar faces to the player.
ESL Pro League Season 13 will be an important milestone for both teams, as they will seek to give themselves a bit of a competitive boost in the upcoming games.
