  • Both teams performed more than admirably in their respective groups
  • Nigma Galaxy still reigns supreme, despite losing one game to NiP Impact
  • Javelins emerge as the favorites that can defy Nigma in the ESL Impact’s finals

ESL Impact Katowice has concluded with Nigma Galaxy and NAVI Javelins topping their respective groups to qualify for the ESL Impact League Season 3 finals in Dallas, Texas.

Both Teams Proceed to the Finals

Nigma Galaxy continue forward to the Dallas event after successfully navigating their group in ESL Impact Katowice with relative ease. The two-time Impact League champions suffered just one defeat at the hands of NiP Impact, which ended Nigma Galaxy’s 38-series win streak in the women’s circuit that stretched back to January 2022. Despite that, NG didn’t face much other opposition on their way to top their group with a 4-1 record.

Similarly to their Russian counterparts, NAVI Javelins showed an almost excellent form from the start of the year by dominating their own group. The team dropped just one map at the hands of G2 Oya, but otherwise dominated their opponents elsewhere, often denying them the double-digit rounds. Because of this, NAVI Javelins becomes the favorite that could actually become the contenders that will finally take away Nigma’s trophy.

These two teams will be joined by the winner decided on the encounter between BIG EQUIPA or 9 Pandas Fearless, which will be held on April 15. The match will be a third-place decider for the last spot from the European division.

Meanwhile, there will be a total of four spots split evenly between the winners of the South American and North American decider matches. FURIA fe and B4 fe emerge as the most likely candidates to take spots as they both performed flawlessly in their groups in South America and will face off against Black Dragons fe and MIBR fe, respectively. Up in North America, Detonate SparX and ex-CLG Red are shaping up to earn spots for the Dallas event. The former did not drop a single map in Group B, while the latter conceded just one en route to claiming 6-0 records. It should be noted that the CLG Red roster was released in its entirety last week, yet the players stayed together and still managed to achieve stellar results. Detonate SparX will now face Shimmer in a battle to take the coveted spot in the ESL Impact finals, while the ex-CLG Red roster will go up against EG Gold.
