MOUZ Reportedly Giving up Ropz to FaZe Clan

in Counter Strike
December 20, 2021
  • FaZe Clan are making a move for legendary lurker player Ropz
  • Ropz will fulfil his full contractual obligations to MOUZ first
  • MOUZ is expected to look at its own academy roster to fill in for Ropz

MOUZ is reportedly transferring Robin “ropz” Kool to FaZe Clan at the end of his contractual obligations for the team.

Ropz May Soon Be Joining FaZe Clan

The top tier of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive may soon be rejuggled as per report by Dexerto and 1pv.fr. According to the media, Robin “ropz” Kool, one of the most talented lurker players in the game, maybe making a switch from MOUZ to FaZe Clan.

The news is still only speculative, but there seems to be some evidence to suggest that the transfer may be happening after all. The report is also based on previous rumors that ropz has been approached by both G2 and FaZe, but the most likely winner would be FaZe.

As per the available reports now, FaZe has already locked in the transfer but will honor ropz’s full contractual obligation to MOUZ before announcing the acquisition publicly. Ropz, though, has already been contacted, the reports read.

Ropz is expected to step in and replace Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer who has not been able to compete actively due to personal issues. If this is the case, Ropz will then be reunited with Finn “karrigan” Andersen, a player he is well familiar with.

MOUZ though will not be exploring any new transfers. Instead, the team will try to tap its own bench and see if there are sufficiently talented names there to fill in the shoes of the outgoing ropz. The academy team, MOUZ NXT will give the team enough talented players to choose from.

Although replacing ropz outright would be difficult, MOUZ has plenty of up-and-coming players who are prepared to deliver if given a chance.
