KennyS Finds Himself Out from G2 Esports' Roster
Kenny “kennyS” Schrub is a top CS:GO player, popular with his successes on the competitive scene. For the last four years, he has played with G2 Esports. However, this is about to change as on March 4 the team announced on Twitter some major switches in their CS:GO roster.
While some fans were disgruntled at the news, G2 rationalized their decision as an opportunity for them to adapt better to the meta and for kennyS to add some variety to his career. However most suspect the choice was made because of Kenny's diminishing performance, especially in 2020.
Coach Damien “maLeK” Marcel shares it was a necessary decision but definitely not an easy one. The mentor believes that the change will help the G2 team to adapt to the new meta.
G2 Esports' owner Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez believes Kenny Schrub will easily land a place in a new team and is positive that the player has a bright future ahead of him. Rodriguez also mentions that he is thankful that Kenny had carried G2 Esports for so long.
KennyS tweeted that he is thankful to his G2 team. He promises fans this won't be the last time they hear of him.
Some Big Changes to G2's Roster
Lastly, let's take a look at the other changes to the G2 Esports CS:GO roster.
- Audric “JaCkz” Jug – Rifler
- Nikola “NiKo” Kovač – AWP/Rifler
- François “AmaNEk” Delaunay – Rifler Support
- Nemanja “nexa” Isaković – IGL
- Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač – Rifler / Entry
It turns out Adric “JaCkz” Jug will enter the team as a rifler. On the other hand, Nikola “NiKo” Kovač will take the role of a hybrid rifle/AWP user. The player joined G2 last year and played for FaZe Clan previously.
We have yet to see how these changes affect the team's performance.
