Isurus CS:GO Squad Acquired by BESTIA a Day after the Former Parted Ways with It

in Counter Strike
February 16, 2023
  • The organization will not field a CS:GO squad for the first time in six years
  • BESTIA signed the roster just a day after Isurus announced it’s parting ways with it
  • Isurus will continue to be involved with the roster in some capacity

Argentinian esports organization BESTIA has acquired the entire Isurus CS:GO roster after the latter organization decided to part ways with the roster.

Isurus Disbands CS:GO Division

It has been a turbulent couple of days for Isurus’ now-former CS:GO squad. Not only did the whole roster part ways with the organization, but it was signed by BESTIA just a day after. The new organization is founded by Argentinian rapper and poker player Alejandro Andrés “Papo” Lococo.

Isurus closing its CS:GO division marks the first time in six years that the organization won't be fielding a roster for Valve's first-person shooter. The Argentinian organization also said that it will continue to support the lineup with “sports advice and management.”

LLEGAMOS CON TODO, LLEGARON LAS BESTIAS. 😈

Estas son las BESTIAS que nos van a representar en CS:GO 🔫

This brings an end to Nicolás “Noktse” Dávila's six-year stint with the organization which began in February 2017. Aside from the in-game leader, the other long-lasting member of the team was Rodrigo “pino” Manarino, who served both as a coach and an analyst for Isurus for about five years.

Isurus expressed their gratitude for everything the roster has done together with it. “After months of various evaluations, Isurus will pause its operations regarding CS:GO in 2023,” the organization’s official statement on its website reads. “We feel that the competitive CS:GO ecosystem is far from the objectives that Isurus has as an organization in the short term. We believe that it is the best decision at the moment, both for the players and for the club.”

What’s the Roster’s Future

The statement also read that the continuity of the CS:GO roster is already guaranteed and will continue to demonstrate its highest level, implying that the players will stay together for the foreseeable future. The roster already played in the South American qualifiers for IEM Brazil under the name ex-Isurus ahead of BESTIA’s announcement that they have signed it. However, the squad finished in 9th place out of 16 teams, failing to reach the next stage.

But despite the roster’s recent troubles and signing to another organization, Isurus stated they will continue to be involved. “When all parties work towards the same goal, the future is always hopeful, and being able to continue working on the project through sports advice and management is extremely gratifying,” said Isurus CEO Facundo “Kala” Calabró.

Now under BESTIA’s contract and probably with the aid of Isurus, the roster will tackle its next challenge. That will be the South American qualifier circuit for the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, which started yesterday.
