Fantasyexpo announced four teams from Western Europe that will be invited directly to the EU Champions Spring qualifiers.

Fantasyexpo Will Invite Four Teams

Fantasyexpo, the organization behind the 2022 Fantasyexpo EU Champions Spring Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament, announced some details about the upcoming event. The tournament will see some of the best Western European CS:GO teams play for a spot in the upcoming competitions.

There will be several qualifying events for Western Europe, depending on the players’ region. There will be four qualifiers in total – one for France, one for the United Kingdom and Ireland, one for DACH and one EU Open qualifier. One team from each of the first three qualifiers will advance to the main event. The EU Open qualifier, on the other hand, will allow two teams to move forward.

Additionally, the winner of the Team META-sponsored Benelux qualifier and the two top teams from the Polish Esports League will also get to join the EU Champions Spring, totaling the participants to eight.

The open qualifiers will be held in the middle of March, providing teams with the chance to climb the leadership ladder and challenge the best athletes in the game. Some of the top teams in European CS:GO esports have been directly invited to the EU Champions qualifiers, including ENCE, Fnatic, Sangal and Sprout.

The Event Will Serve as a Gateway to the Spring Showdown

The 2022 Fantasyexpo EU Champions Spring event is one of the professional competitive events preceding the Spring Showdown 2022 organized by BLAST. It is one of Western Europe’s gateway events providing teams with a chance to go straight to the renowned BLAST-sponsored tournament.

The EU Champions is scheduled to take place between March 25 and 27. The prize pool hasn’t been announced as of the time of this writing but what is sure is that the tournament winner will get a direct ticket for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown.

This tournament isn’t the first time Fantasyexpo and BLAST have indirectly worked together. In 2021, the Fantasyexpo Champions tournament served as a gateway event to the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown.
