FaZe’s Broky Became BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022’s MVP

in Counter Strike
November 29, 2022
  • The 21-year-old AWPer won the title of the Most Valuable Player at BLAST Premier Fall Final
  • His amazing headshots secured FaZe’s second-place finish at the event
  • He did this with the aid of teammate Håvard “rain” Nygaard

Awards for best individual players are often given to the winning team’s members, but this year’s BLAST Premier Fall Final was different.

Broky Named MVP

Fans were delighted to see the many amazing performances that the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022 had to offer this weekend. With its many ups and downs, and close games, this was one of the more exciting events in recent competitive CS:GO history. The thrilling event saw Heroic take the trophy, along with the $200 000 grand prize, but interestingly enough, none of their players earned the title of MVP of the event.

Instead, that title goes to FaZe Clan’s Helvijs “broky” Saukants, who proved to be the most valuable player at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen. By dismantling any offense directed at his team during the many matches FaZe played at the event, the Latvian AWPer earned the MVP title, with some amazing highlights to prove it.

Just one of his many amazing plays happened during his team’s face-off against Ninjas in Pyjamas. Broky was the only one left alongside his teammate Håvard “rain” Nygaard, in a 2v4. At this moment, broky sprung into action, no-scoped Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen from heaven onto the B site of Overpass through the smoke, which was covering the entire bomb site.

Now that NiP’s confidence and numbers were lowered, broky and rain took the opportunity to push forward. Coming onto the site, broky once again showed his skill with the AWP by taking out Fredrik “REZ” Sterner with a clean headshot. His teammate, rain, came through as well, taking down the other NiP member left standing on the site.

This left only Hampus “hampus” Poser on NiP’s side, but the player was busy flanking the remaining FaZe duo, so was too far away to make a difference before the time ran out. Hampus’ failure to counter broky and rain’s play led to NiP losing the game, relegating them to a third-place finish at the event.

Broky’s spectacular use of his AWP eventually brought his team the second place in this year’s BLAST Premier Fall Final, and netted him the title of MVP.
