Fantasyexpo Hosts Qualifiers for BLAST Premier Spring Showdown

in Counter Strike
March 3, 2021
  • Fantasyexpo will run the regional qualifiers in Western Europe for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown
  • The team to win the Fantasyexpo Cup will scoop up $25,000 and qualify for the BLAST Premier in April
  • The Fantasyexpo Cup is taking place from March 23 through March 25

The Fantasyexpo Cup will offer the winner the opportunity to advance to the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown in April.

BLAST's Fantasyexpo Cup Qualifiers All Locked In

Fantasyexpo has shed more details about its upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Showdown qualifying event. Named after the gaming agency itself, the Fantasyexpo Cup will offer players a chance to qualify for the upcoming BLAST Premier CS:GO event held between April 13 and April 18.

As a licensed partner, Fantasyexpo can help promising teams to secure a spot in the big showdown next month. Specifically, Fantasyexpo will organize qualifiers in several countries in Western Europe, including Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Italy, Great Britain, France, and Poland.

It's time to announce our latest result of cooperation with @BLASTPremier – Fantasyexpo Cup, which is one of several ways to qualify for BLAST Premier Showdown. Qualifiers starts on March 5. Thank you for your trust! GL&HF pic.twitter.com/mRVvBXUlmL

Following BLAST's commitment to expanding the scope of its events, more third-party hosts have been brought on to offer talented CS:GO players a shot at making the cut for what is arguably one of the most prestigious competitive events for the game.

BLAST's commissioner, Andrew Haworth, said that the company was pleased to be teaming up with Fantasyexpo on this occasion and bring more Counter-Strike events to audiences as well as bring the most talented players together.

“Our goal in 2021 is to make BLAST Premier the most open and accessible tournament series on the scene, and by working with leading regional partners such as Fantasyexpo, we are able to achieve this,” Haworth added.

Detailing Fantasyexpo Cup, Prize Pool, and More

Fantasyexpo Cup is a worthwhile event all by itself. The regional qualifiers will take place from March 5 through March 13, with the last chance qualifier on March 19 through March 20. The winning team will secure a spot in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown as well as $25,000 to take away.

The BLAST Premier Spring event is itself carrying hefty $162,500 prize money with the first-place team to secure $30,000 and 1250 BLAST Premier Points. The event has already confirmed MAD DOG'S PACT, mousesports, FunPlus Phoenix as participating, with the rest of the teams having to battle it out during the qualifiers.

The main event for the Fantasyexpo Cup will be held from March 23 through March 25 online. Fantasyexpo co-founder Krzysztof Stypułkowski said that expanding on the current partnership was a great opportunity to continue a relationship that has been ongoing for four years now with BLAST.

“Thanks to our cooperation, local leagues from Poland, Germany, France, United Kingdom, and Italy will have a chance to offer their teams an opportunity to play on the highest level,” he added.

Over 1,500 teams are eligible for a shot to make it to the April event.
