- Fantasyexpo reveals more details about the upcoming BLAST Rising 2021 tournament
- All groups have been set with the best two teams of each group proceeding to the playoffs

The BLAST Rising 2021 hosted by Fantasyexpo is set to begin on May 3 with the names of all teams and their respective groups revealed.

BLAST Rising 2021 is just around the corner and this is good news for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fans the world over. Spectators will have a chance to enjoy an action-packed month with the tournament spanning from May 3 through May 23.
Hosted by Fantasyexpo, a Polish gaming agency, the BLAST Rising will feature no fewer than 24 teams, which are the world's elite. The current edition is a significant step-up in the overall efforts to bring more Counter-Strike action following a difficult 2020 which saw all mainstream in-person events suspended.
Fantasyexpo's event will be played in a double-elimination bracket with the best two teams from each region making it to the playoffs. The third team will have to join the play-in series instead. Fantasy and BLAST have already revealed the groups, offering an early insight for anyone who appreciates the occasional esports flutter:

BLAST isn't the only game in town. Recently, Elisa Esports have revealed a new esports series with a total prize pool worth $2.7 million in a bid to strengthen the European Counter-Strike competitive scene.
The play-in knockout stage will begin on May 17 and four teams will be joining the 12 waiting for them in the playoffs on May 19.
