CS:GO Analyst Joins Forces with Endpoint, Becomes Coach
Allan Hender, a CS:GO analyst and content creator was named coach for the premier esports team Endpoint. Hender fills in a position that was freed back in August when Ross “RossR” Rooney changed his position to a General Manager.
It is not going to be long before Hender starts practicing his new role. As a coach, he is going to participate in the IEM Fall Regional Major Rankings 2021. Starting from September 29 the event will continue until October 10. The famous tournament will put the best 24 teams against each other.
Hender has significant experience as an analyst, journalist and content creator within the Counter-Strike realm. He has created a variety of articles, videos and participated in commentaries and talk shows related to CS:GO.
Additionally, Hender has more than 1.5 years of experience as a Counter Strike coach for Warwick University. This helped him gain additional journalistic experience and reaffirm his leadership and interpersonal skills. Hender also has a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Warwick.
The British analyst started his collaboration with Endpoint earlier this summer. He was recently interviewed by Dexerto and revealed that he needed to broaden his horizons and explore new ventures once he realized that he won't be able to join Flashpoint 3 at Los Angeles as an analyst. Hender deemed that experience as “a wake-up call”.
Speaking about his new endeavor, he said that he cannot “put into words” how different coaching compared to broadcasting is at the pro level. Hender outlined that it may look that it’s still “the same game,” but in reality, he said that those “are completely different worlds, requiring almost polar skill sets.” He did not miss saying that he will keep his focus on becoming a better leader while sticking to “the right principles”. According to Hender, he was always able to keep his emotions steadier than most people and at the same time remain accurate.
