  • The organization is bandying up with GRID, Relog Media, and FunSpark and leveraging its own production mettle to bring the best possible experience event
  • A grand final will be played in Q3 2022 and attract some of the best CS:GO teams as Elisa Esports tries to incorporate community feedback to produce a better-quality tournament

Elisa Esports is hosting a $2.7m tournament series designed to attract some of the most competitive CS: GO teams leading up to a grand event in the fall of 2022.

Elisa Adds Value to Competitive CS:GO

As Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) professional players continue to switch the game for VALORANT, continuous investment in new competitive formats has been dominating headlines.

The case of Elisa Esports, a Finnish broadcasting studio teaming up with Relog Media, FunSpark, and GRID, is no different. The companies have come together to create a shared-structure $2.7 million CS: GO series with a global reach and ambition and a focus on the European community.

Each of the companies coming together has unique expertise and insight in at least one aspect of the CS:GO experience.

Elisa expands esports operations globally and joins forces with @GRIDesports,@FunsparkCSGO and @RelogMedia in order to form the $2,7m #ElisaChampionOfChampions tour, paving a way towards a new tier 1 event for the global esports fans!🔥

Thanks to GRID's advanced data and statistical modeling, the partners will host the events in an overarching points system that will eventually lead to the grand finale, the Elisa Champion of Championships slated for Q3 2022.

Elisa Esports is not aiming low either but keeping the organization's cross-hair on the global CS:GO elite. All events will be broadcast in English and Finnish, with Elisa staying true to its loyal fanbase at home.

While the final draft of the upcoming series or final event has been fully hashed out, Elisa Esports assured that it's looking to create an event that will appeal to the community.

Elisa Esports Head Teemu Koski shared his excitement to be joining in the initiative, explaining the key motivation behind it.”

“With the extended tournament structure co-operated with Relog Media and Funspark, we wanted to provide a new way for top European teams to better their rankings and compete, even if they are not official partners with the largest commercial leagues.”

Elisa Senior Business Designer Pasi Lindqvist outlined how the current format was a reflection of community feedback and argued that the additions of Relog, FunSpark, and GRID were all meant to that end.

GRID and Relog Media are experienced esports hosts that are currently assisting esports betting platform Pinnacle in running its eponymous Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments.
