April 21, 2022
  • BLAST announced that the BLAST Premier Spring Finals will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, on June 15
  • BLAST has booked the Altice Arena for the event – a familiar venue to long-time CS:GO fans
  • Eight of the best teams in the world will clash for a share of the $425,000 prize pool and a shot at the BLAST Premier World Final

The BLAST Premier Spring Finals will be held in the Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal, the organizers announced.

BLAST Returns to Portugal

BLAST, an esports event organizer famous for its exceptional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments, has announced that the final stage of the BLAST Premier Spring 2022 season will be held in Portugal. The venue picked by BLAST is the Altice Arena in Lisbon where the organizer held another CS:GO tournament (BLAST Pro Series) four years ago.

In 2019 we made a promise during our São Paulo show.

Three years later, in June, we're keeping our word… Lisbon, we're coming for you.

BLAST has also confirmed that the BLAST Premier Spring Finals will begin on June 15 and will last for five days. The event will see eight of the best teams play for a share of the $425,000 prize pool and a shot at the BLAST Premier World Final. Only the best team will advance to December’s event. Here are the prizes for the top three squads:

  • First Place: $200,000, 4000 league points and World Final qualification
  • Second Place: $85,000 and 2000 league points
  • Third Place: $50,000 and 1500 league points

Eight Teams Will Clash

A total of eight teams will appear at the BLAST Premier Spring Finals. The squads will be divided into two groups of four and will play in a double-elimination format. The best three teams will advance to the playoffs where they will compete for the big shares of the prize pool and a chance to directly go to the World Final.

As of the time of this writing, only six of the participating teams have been announced. The remaining two will be decided during the BLAST Premier Spring Showdowns in Europe and North America. Both events will start on April 27 and will send one representative from each region to the Spring Finals, rounding up the total teams to eight.

Here are the teams that will make an appearance during the Spring Finals:

  • Team Vitality
  • OG
  • FaZe Clan
  • G2 Esports
  • Natus Vincere
  • BIG
