Longtime Complexity assistant coach Anton “⁠AntO_oNNN⁠” Van Gorp has announced on Twitter that he has parted ways with the CS:GO organization and is not looking for a new position.

AntO_oNNN Leaves Complexity

North American esports organization Complexity have parted ways with their assistant coach Anton “⁠AntO_oNNN⁠” Van Gorp. The news comes from the 27-year-old CS:GO professional himself, as he announced his departure from the organization on Twitter. This brings an end to almost four years of the two parties working together.

“After almost 4 years my time with @Complexity has come to an end. I will cherish the good moments for now,” the CS:GO coach wrote on Twitter, saying that he is open to new offers as an Assistant or Head coach. Van Gorp even said that he is not excluding offers of being a broadcast talent. 

The 27-year-old pro thanked the organization for the years of opportunities he’s been given and the many other professionals he had the chance to work with. “I had the pleasure of working with 3 different coaches, 3 different managers and a total of 17 players and I want to thank every single one of them. Peace :),” ⁠Van Gorp wrote. 

The coach joined Complexity in 2019 as an analyst, before becoming Assistant Coach in the following year. During his time with the organization, he oversaw the training of multiple rosters. He initially worked with a majority-North American roster, followed by an all-European squad, until he finally worked with the roster that the organization currently has.

During his time working for Complexity, Van Gorp helped the team go through two Majors, the PGL Major Antwerp and the recent BLAST Paris Major. The best event Complexity had during Van Gorp’s tenure was the IEM Katowice this year, where the team placed 7-8th.

Complexity Has Had It Rough

The news of the coach’s departure comes just under two weeks after Complexity were eliminated from the BLAST Paris Major Challengers Stage. Their lackluster performance at the event shows Complexity’s mixed success they’ve had so far this year. They kicked off the season with a string of solid results and a 7-8th placing at IEM Katowice, launching Complexity to their peak ranking at No.8.

Unfortunately, the team could not hold that spot for very long, and since Katowice, Complexity fell out of the top 20. This was due to them finishing in last place at EPL Season 17 and exiting the ESL Challenger Melbourne early after a loss to ECSTATIC. The last blow was dealt when Complexity exited the recent BLAST Paris Major in its Challengers stage.
