Activision Launches MWIII Early Access
Call of Duty Modern Warfare III is one of the most anticipated games of this year and its official release date is coming closer and closer. To prepare for this, many fans have already preordered the game and are waiting for its open beta to commence on October 14. PC and Xbox players who have preordered the game have already started playing its beta yesterday, but you can also try it out even if you haven’t preordered it.
There are a few ways to acquire a key, and we’ve already talked about the first one. However, beta keys can also be won through giveaways. Many gaming websites and content creators hold giveaways for beta keys. Additionally, following Activision on social media may yield keys as part of some rewards. Do have in mind, however, that said keys are rare so it’s far from certain you can acquire one.
If you are lucky enough to get your hands on the game’s beta, you will be able to play it on the platform of your choice. PS5 players have already started MWIII’s beta last weekend, as it launched on that platform first. However, now that Xbox and PC players joined on October 12, the servers have become even busier. It’s safe to say that when the open beta starts tomorrow, everything will be even more lively.
Players who have preordered digitally do not need a Beta code to participate, as they are automatically registered to participate in the Early Access period. However, if they have purchased Modern Warfare III through a participating retailer, they should either check their receipt for the beta code, which should be printed there, or they should have received an online receipt sent vie email.
Xbox players can download the Beta from the Microsoft Store, while PC players can download the Beta from Steam or Battle.net. Interestingly, PC players who are using Nvidia will get an FPS boost thanks to new driver updates the company released specifically for the launch of the MWIII beta.
Modern Warfare III’s beta will last until October 16, while the full game will be released on November 8.
