After months of no proper Ranked game mode in Warzone 2, Call of Duty’s popular battle royal title is finally getting one on May 10.
Ranked Coming to Warzone 2
Warzone 2 has been one of the most popular titles of the Call of Duty series, but despite being released more than half a year ago, the game still does not have a ranked mode. However, this is about to change soon as the battle royal’s developers have confirmed that Ranked Play is coming to Season 3 of the game soon.
Players have been calling for such a game mode since the release of the game. It was hoped that Season 3, which launched almost a month ago, would bring it. However, fans were disappointed as this was not the case, with many popular streamers like Aydan criticizing Season 3’s lackluster content.
However, the game’s devs promised more things will be coming into the game as the season rolled on. Now, they have confirmed that Warzone 2 Ranked Play starts its beta on May 10. The devs further explained that it will remain in a beta state before eventually launching a complete state during a future season.
Warzone 2’s upcoming ranked system will work in a similar way to that of Modern Warfare II, featuring seven divisions based on skill. Players will have to rank from Bronze to Iridescent by gaining Skill Rating points, which are based on overall match performance, assists, and eliminations. This list shows how many Skill Rating points are needed for each division:
- Bronze: 0–899 SR
- Silver: 900–2,099 SR
- Gold: 2,100–3,599 SR
- Platinum: 3,600–5,399 SR
- Diamond: 5,400–7,499 SR
- Crimson: 7,500–9,999 SR
- Iridescent: 10,000 SR minimum
- Top 250: 10,000+ SR
The Top 250 Skill Division is reserved only for the best players in the game, which will also earn a spot in a public leaderboard that’s visible to every player
Fans would also be delighted to hear that Ranked Play will offer unique rewards that players will be able to secure by playing the competitive battle royale mode. The devs talked specifically about Ranked Play featuring “seasonal rewards, all in the epic Battle Royale setting.” Said rewards will be special Blueprints Operator skins, and others, which will be available after players secure a certain number of wins to level up.
The Ranked Play beta will be launched on May 10 and the devs have confirmed that they will reveal more information in the following days.
