  • Warzone 2’s next season will see the removal of the much-dreaded killstreak
  • Season 2 Reloaded will also see nerfs to one of the game’s most OP weapons
  • It will also feature an unlikely collaboration with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Warzone 2 players have been begging Raven Software to do something about the overpowered Bomb Drone and the devs have finally responded,

Raven Removes Bomb Drone

Warzone’s Season 2 Reloaded’s release date is approaching fast and developer Raven Software is preparing a tin of changes. One of the biggest changes that are coming with the update, the developers announced, is the removal of the popular CoD title’s most hated killstreak – the Bomb Drone.

This killstreak has been the bane of many players caught in it as not even taking cover inside the abandoned buildings of Ashika Island isn’t enough to defend against it. The Bomb Drone is a killstreak that is very hard to avoid and has often been the reason for the wiping out of entire squads. However, this would not be the case for much longer.

Raven Software announced this as a tease for what’s coming to Season 2 Reloaded. The developers also said that there will be more options to balance out the removal of the killstreak, but those will become clear when Raven releases the full patch notes on March 15, shortly before the season goes live on servers.

The Bomb Drone has been a useful reconnaissance tool in Warzone 2 but its unrelenting power does pose a serious issue when navigating Al Mazrah or Ashika Island. The killstreak has received a ton of flack from the CoD community because of its devastating effect in closed spaces. Fortunately for many, it seems Raven Software has finally heard players’ calls for the removal of the killstreak.

What Else Is Coming to Warzone 2?

The Bomb Drone killstreak is not the only thing that many players think is overpowered. Many have often spoken against the KV Broadside for being too OP. Because of this, Raven is giving the much-dreaded shotgun two nerfs. The first one is a reduction of the gun’s effective range. The second one is not directly on the gun, but rather on an ammo it’s used quite often with – Dragon’s Breath. The fire ammo will have its power significantly reduced in Warzone’s next update.

Warzone 2’s next update3 will also feature new weapons and even an unlikely TMNT crossover bundle. This will add a skin inspired by the franchise’s infamous main antagonist Shredder. The skin and operator bundle is dropping for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 on March 21, not too far away from the release of the new season.
