Round-Based Zombies Maps to Make a Return
Call of Duty fans will finally get the zombie content they wanted. Treyarch published a list of the projects that are being worked on, showing that round-based Call of Duty Zombies maps are on the way for Vanguard.
This is huge news for Vanguard players who will soon be able to enjoy one of the most popular Call of Duty game modes. Sadly, the mode will take a few more months to be implemented but it’s good to know that it is being worked on.
The company spoke about the reveal, confirming that now that the seasonal updates are out of the way, it will be able to focus on bringing round-based Zombies to Vanguard. The company also teased what fans can expect:
“While we’re extremely excited to deliver this classic style of gameplay for Vanguard players, we want to set the expectation up-front that it’s going to take some time to get it into your hands. This involves extensive systems development from the ground up in a variety of areas, including the design, implementation, and testing of round-based wave spawning and AI pathing, zoning systems, fast travel mechanics, Door Buys, and Wall Buys, and plenty more.”
Shi No Numa Will Come Back Improved
According to Treyarch, the famous Shi No Numa map will be the first one to make a return. The company added that the familiar experience will be enhanced with an all-new main and side quests. Additionally, the map will be expanded to include brand new areas and will have new content such as new traps, defenses, Easter eggs and more.
Furthermore, the updated Shi No Numa will get support for the newest Battle Pass weapons, new weapon unlock challenges, 20 new Season Challenges with unique Calling Card & XP rewards and numerous bug and stability fixes.
The developers said that fans can expect the new content to drop somewhere after the upcoming season 3. They promised to reveal more news as the release comes closer.
