BLAST Premier has announced that Coinbase will join its sponsors’ ranks and further strengthen the ties between digital mind sports and cryptocurrency.
A Deal Just in Time for Spring Season
On April 1, BLAST Premier esports league in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has adopted the leading cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase as one of its Spring Season sponsors. The two partners hope to bring their respective worlds closer together.
Coinbase is a cryptocurrency exchange platform found back in 2012. It has since grown into a respectable force in the cryptocurrency field.
According to the deal, Coinbase will financially support BLAST Premier’s broadcast segment called “The Economy Play.” The Economy Play will be dedicated to deeply analyzing esports matches during breaks.
As a return, BLAST Premier will feature Coinbase’s logo throughout the event and the broadcast’s backdrop.
Esports and Cryptocurrency: Allies of Technology and Innovation
BLAST Premier’s Head of Brand Partnerships Oliver Clarke commented that in his opinion, esports and cryptocurrency “share a strong relationship with technology and innovation.” Clarke firmly believes that BLAST Premier’s audience is “tech-savvy” and will like the partnership. The Head of Brand Partnerships implied that many fans would either show interest in cryptocurrency or already do.
“We look forward to seeing the result of fans engaging with the safe, secure, and world-leading cryptocurrency exchange platform.”, Clarke concluded.
Coinbase is one of the many influential partners of the professional competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive league. Other than that, BLAST Premier is currently collaborating with CS.MONEY, EPOS as well. Most recently, BLAST Premier established a new partnership with the German IT company Shikenso Analytics.
The BLAST Premier’s Spring Showdown begins on April 13 and will continue until April 18, followed by the Spring Finals between the 15th and 20th of June.
