A Young Politician and a Gamer
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is well known for several things. Currently, 31, Ocasio-Cortez is the youngest woman to ever serve the congress of the United States and the youngest member of the 116th congress. To top it off, she is one of the first two women from the Democratic Socialists of America to serve in Congress. AOC also has a thing for gaming and is known to play League of Legends on a somewhat regular basis.
The young politician had reached Silver 3 last year which is not too shabby for someone with a stressful job in politics. AOC confirmed that her progress was partially thanks to the quarantine caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The congresswoman has mentioned that she likes playing support characters, mainly Lux, Morgana and Miss Fortune.
Ocasio-Cortez appears to continue playing even now as she just shared a League of Legends clip in her Instagram. In the video the young congresswoman used the character Lux to take down the great neutral monster known as Baron Nashor and claim the benefit it provides for her team. AOC managed to pull that feat thanks to her character’s ultimate skill: Final Spark that scored the final damage points from a safe distance.
The congresswoman is definitely no professional when it comes to League of Legends but she isn’t doing half bad either. In any case, it is fairly rare to see someone in high politics openly discuss gaming.
AOC has been also known to play the recent hit Among Us. In a stream of the murder mystery game last year she managed to gather more than 700,000 viewers.
