Abios continues to sign significant partnerships in the esports space by becoming the official data partner for the esports news app Jaxon.
Abios to Boost Jaxon’s Esports Calendar Functionality
Esports data firm Abios has launched a new partnership with the esports media app Jaxon. The app, launched as a collaborative effort between Samsung and Upday, will benefit from Abios’ data and insight to power its esports event calendar. Abios will also step in as the official data partner for the application, growing the company’s profile and reaching out to new audiences thanks to the Jaxon.
Designed exclusively for Samsung devices, the esports news service is centered on Jaxon, an animated mascot who provides updates and an esports calendar that allows esports enthusiasts to always be informed about upcoming competitions.
Abios will make the calendar a powerful and worthwhile addition to the news service as it will now display live scores and results, empowering an even greater functionality of the tool.
Upday Project Manager Sebastian Gastl outlined an even more ambitious plan for the calendar, with readers soon able to quickly check match statistics with a few simple clicks or taps. Gastl spoke with Abios elaborating on what the current state of Jaxon is and arguing that the current functionality is akin to a beta version of the entire app.
Think of Jaxon as a Beta
A more significant update is planned towards the end of August when several new features will be included, and not least Abios’ own insights that will add tremendous value to the overall offer. Gastl is confident that the app may become the “most widely-used esports news app in Europe,” which will be a part of the company’s focus.
Abios Senior Key Account Manager Linus Norman was happy with the development, arguing that Upday is a proven news platform that is committed to bringing the most impactful news updates to its users. “We are very happy and proud that Upday chose Abios as their data partner, and we are looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership,” Norman concluded.
Abios is one of the most prominent data companies in the esports industry. It has recently added and extended its coverage for FIFA, and the company teamed up with esports powerhouse G2 in a bid to help the team boost its brand engagement.
