New Digital Esports Channel A8 Esports Launches
Aggregated Media is launching a new esports digital channel available via both OTT and linear partners across 13 countries in the world. A8 Esports will seek to fill a specific gap in content production in the competitive video gaming industry as per the words of Aggregated Media president and founder Erik Reynolds who feels the company is on a mission to achieve something big in providing esports fans and content creators with more opportunities to access quality products.
Through Aggregated Media’s own clout with content creators, networks, and leagues, the company is able to provide the newly-released A8 Esports channel with a variety of programming. “We formed this company because we saw a huge gap in content distribution in esports and games,” says Reynolds who is confident that all partners involved will find new opportunities to monetize their efforts.
He further believes that A8 Esports will create a more equitable playing field where monetization opportunities do not go solely to “a few chosen big names.” A8 is launching with a series of special programming, including live and classic tournaments, various podcasts and shows, and insight from community leaders across multiple esports titles.
A Natural Partner to Everyone Involved
Aggregated Media is currently partnering with many established names in the esports environment, including Preediction Network, Super League Gaming, Game Informer, Rumble Gaming and Wisdom Gaming Group.
Commenting on the partnership, Super League Gaming CCO Matt Edelman said that the company welcomed the opportunity to be working with what he described as a diverse collection of partners. Preediction founder Aron Glatzer joined the conversation and welcomed Aggregated Media as a natural partner, citing the company’s commitment to its audience and revenue growth ambitions on a global scale.
A8 Esports launch in 13 countries with more than 20,000 hours of content is a continuation of that core strategy.
