An alleged leak has let the Call of Duty fan base know what’s in store for 2022’s edition of Call of Duty Challengers.
A Leak Reveals The Dates of Call of Duty Challengers Events
A huge leak has allegedly revealed the schedule of the upcoming Call of Duty Challengers 2022 season. It is believed that the original image was leaked directly from Activision Blizzard.
Although the image isn’t of the best quality, it is clear enough for people to be able to read the dates. While not all events have a set date yet, the data is curious enough for all industry analysts.
The Schedule
The schedule envisions hosting the Call of Duty Elite Qualifier around the end of January before moving to the first Elite Season. The latter is expected to host two events – one between 5 and 6 February and another between 19 and 20 February.
Then, at around the end of February, Activision Blizzard plans on hosting the first Call of Duty Challengers Open, with dates set for February 25 through 28. Furthermore, this event and all Open events, for that matter, are planned to be played in person.
The league continues with an Elite Qualifier in March, once again lacking specified data, followed by the second Elite Season comprised of two events. The tournaments will be held on two consecutive weekends, one on March 12-13 and one on March 19-20.
Another Open in-person event is set to take place in April, currently scheduled for the second weekend of the month (8-10). A smaller off-season tournament will follow on April 23-24.
An in-person Midseason Classic (4/29 – 5/1) will conclude the April competition and foray into the month of May. It is a new addition to the program, and it will be interesting to see what Activision Blizzard has planned. Yet another Elite Qualifier will take place after that. The third Elite season will also have two events, one between May 14 and 15 and another between May 21 and 22.
June will host the third Open event (6/10 – 6/12). It will be followed by the last Elite Qualifier before advancing to the fourth Elite season. Cup 12, the first tournament of the fourth season, will take place around June 25-26.
The second event will take place at the beginning of July, between 9 and 10. A last Open tournament will take place on July 22 through 24 before the league heads into the Last Chance Qualifiers on July 30.
Lastly, the grand finals are expected to take place between August 12 and 14.
